Biography

Following a Ph.D. in computational neuroscience at King’s College, University of London, obtained in 1998, I pursued a postdoctoral fellowship at the Montreal Neurological Institute followed by a second one at the CRIUGM in Functional Neuroimaging and Cognitive Neuroscience. Since 2003, I became a assitant research professor at the department of Radiology of Université de Montréal and am directing the PCAN laboratory at the CRIUGM. Since 2004, I was nominated assistant to the scientific director of the Functional Neuroimaging Unit at the CRIUGM.

Research interests

A multidisciplinary approach is used to study the role of the basal ganglia and the prefrontal cortex in executive processes as well as the origins of the cognitive deficits observed in Parkinson’s disease and in aging in general. The methods include fMRI, TMS, PET, computational neuroscience, and models of functional connectivity.
