Dr. Alexander Moreno, Ph.D. Neuropsychologist / Psychologist, Clinical Researcher at the Institut universitaire de gériatrie de Montréal (CRIUGM), Director of the “Innovation, Technology and Cognition (INTECOG) laboratory”, and Adjunct Professor at the Department of Psychology at the University of Montreal is looking for a student in the field of psychology, with a research interest in gerontechnology. The student, under the supervision of the principal investigator, will be part of the research team and will work on a research project funded by the Ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et de l’Énergie on the use of virtual reality to manage pain and anxiety in palliative care. By participating in the current research project, the student will have the opportunity to acquire quantitative and qualitative research expertise, in addition to contributing to the development of a 100% Quebec-based technological solution to innovate nonpharmacological solutions in palliative care. It is expected that the student will actively participate in the scientific life of CRIUGM, as well as in the various stages of research including the writing of research protocols and the submission to the ethics committee, data collection and analysis, and presentations at scientific events. The student will also participate in other clinical projects conducted by the principal investigator.
