Every year, one in five Canadian older adults (aged≥65 years) falls, which can lead to a traumatic brain injury (TBI). Those with TBI may experience short- and long-term cognitive adverse events. This talk will provide an overview of TBI epidemiology, diagnosis and research evidence for clinicians to prevent and treat TBI-related cognitive decline in older adults.
