Research must focus on identifying the factors that are likely to promote the full potential of aging. This objective is at the heart of our mission, as we tackle the conditions that undermine the full health and quality of life of seniors and that prevent them from fully living their last years of life.
Our mission
The mission of the IUGM Research Center is to :
1) determine the factors that promote aging well;
2) find solutions for the effective management of diseases and conditions that limit the quality of life and social participation of the elderly.
CRIUGM’s actions and its strategic planning for the years to come are guided by a holistic vision of aging, thus recognizing the complexity of contributing factors including of course physical health but also psychosocial, environmental and societal components.
