The Justine and Yves Sergent Fund aims to perpetuate the spirit of Dr. Justine Sergent, an internationally renowned researcher in the field of cognitive neuroscience, and her husband and collaborator, psychologist Yves Sergent, who passed away together in April 1994. A graduate of the Université de Montréal, Justine Sergent was an associate member of the Centre de recherche du Centre hospitalier Cote-des-Neiges, now the Institut universitaire de gériatrie de Montréal.
The Fund aims to recognize annually the contribution of a researcher in the field of cognitive neuroscience at a time when she has acquired a definite international reputation, by presenting her with the annual Justine and Yves Sergent Award.
