Welcome among us!
The Research Center of the Institut Universitaire de Gériatrie de Montréal (CRIUGM) is a hub for students in many ways. It is a multidisciplinary center, offering various possibilities for academic training in a context that also promotes exchanges between students. Whatever your status, student, intern or even just visitor, know that students have a place of choice.
Our missions
Students are a living force at the research center. Around 300 students and 35 postdoctoral fellows actively participate in the scientific and social life of the center (update November 2014). Their representation on the various committees is ensured by a dynamic team.
The missions of the student representation committee are diverse and varied, and include:
- representation of students during meetings of researchers;
- transmission of administrative and social information concerning students;
- welcoming new arrivals;
- contacts:
student / postdoctoral status
information for foreign students
university and social integration
- intermediaries between the students and the administration (suggestions, ideas, complaints, conflicts, etc.);
- animation of student life through the organization of social and academic activities (5 to 7, information days, writing retreats, lunch discussions, etc.).
