It was on April 1st, 40 years ago, that the Research Centre of the University Institute of Geriatrics of Montreal was born !
At the time, only 4 researchers were among its ranks. Today, there are 60 researchers advancing research in the field of aging! This remarkable growth over the years has also been marked by the presence of 300 students, 30 post-doctoral fellows and 15 research chairs!
With this wealth of human and scientific resources, the Centre strives to advance knowledge in its various fields of interest: neuroscience, neurodegenerative diseases, psychological and psychiatric symptoms, support for caregivers, improved health care and long-term care.
