Biography
Dr. François Aubry holds doctorates in sociology from the Université de Franche-Comté (France) and in gerontology from the Université de Sherbrooke (Quebec). He completed his postdoctoral fellowship at the Institut de recherche Robert-Sauvé en santé et en sécurité du travail (IRSST). Dr. Aubry also served as an institutional researcher for two years at two university-affiliated centers in Estrie and Montreal. Currently, he is a professor in the Department of Social Work at the Université du Québec en Outaouais.

Analysis of professional practices of beneficiary attendants and health and social services auxiliaries.

Management (retention, occupational health and safety, etc.) and social issues (gender, age, ethnicization) related to the practices of attendants and auxiliaries.

Studies on the organization of long-term care facilities (CHSLDs) and other types of housing resources for seniors (private residences for the elderly, intermediate resources) and support services for seniors (EESAD, community organizations, consultation tables).
