Biography

Nancy Presse is a registered dietitian and member of the Ordre professionnel des diététistes du Québec since 2005. She has been clinical dietitian in geriatrics at the IUGM before pursuing postgraduate studies. She graduated from Université de Montréal with a PhD in nutrition (nutritional epidemiology) in 2012 after which she pursued post-doctoral studies in pharmacoepidemiology at the Faculté de Pharmacie of the Université de Montréal from 2013 to 2016. She is assistant research professor at the Department of Nutrition of Université de Montréal since July 2016.

Research interests

Nancy Presse’s research programme focuses on clinical nutrition applied to adults at nutritional risk and particularly, to hospitalized and institutionalized older adults. Specifically, she conducts research aiming at identifying the determinants of nutritional deficiencies and interventions that could prevent and treat these deficiencies. Her most recent studies were on vitamin B12 deficiency and malnutrition in older adults as well as drug-nutrient interactions.
