Research interests
With a PhD in cognitive psychology and neuropsychology, my research interests are both fundamental and applied. My research focuses on cognitive aging and human memory, using an embodied, situated approach to cognition. This approach gives an essential role to the body and context in cognitive functioning, enabling us to (re)think cognitive functions and their interactions in a new way.
The embodied dimension is explored through the links between sensoriality and cognition, and through the study of heart rate variability (HRV). The situated dimension is taken into account by studying representations of aging and retirement, ageism and how retirement can act as a catalyst for cognition.
