Research interests
Her research focuses on communication disorders related to aging—both typical and pathological (notably Alzheimer’s disease)—as well as the quality of life and support needs of caregivers. She develops and evaluates communication-centered intervention programs tailored to older adults with cognitive disorders and their caregivers. Her approach emphasizes non-pharmacological interventions, reading comprehension, memory, and language-based cognition.
Her work is supported by funding from SSHRC, RQRV, CRIUGM, and the Research Centre of the Institut universitaire de gériatrie de Montréal. She collaborates with public libraries, community organizations, and healthcare professionals to promote knowledge transfer and the application of research findings in clinical and policy contexts.
